Why was my rent cancelled?

Modified on 2025-01-26

The booking not accepted or paid in time

If the booking will happen in more than 30 days, the booking request will be automatically canceled within three days if the owner does not accept the booking in this time, and if the renter does not pay the booking fee for the booking accepted by the owner. If the rental period is less than 30 days from the start, the owner has one day to accept the booking and the renter has one day to pay for the accepted booking or it will be canceled automatically.

Lack of experience or bad time

The owner has the right to decide to whom he rents his beloved boat to, and has the option to either accept or reject your booking. It is a good idea to fill in your boating CV carefully and tell abit about your voyage plans to the owner when you make your reservation, as the boat owner makes the decision largely on the basis of your boating experience and CV. Of course, the reasons for cancellation may due to something else than just experience, the owner may not be able to hand over the boat at the moment you want, or they even might want to go to the water themself!

A  problem with the boat

Often, if a boat owner cancels an already accepted and agreed booking, this is usually due to a problem with the boat. If the boat owner cancels the booking, for example because the boat is out of order, of course you will get your money back after you have added your account information to your Skipper profile. Contact Skipperi Customer Service and we will make a refund.
