When the rental period begins you will meet at the boat. It is a good idea to go through the boat and its equipment and any boat-specific characteristics together. We know that each boat is an individual and therefore we recommend a small test drive to get to know the boat. We recommend taking pictures of the boat. When everything is clear it is time to wave goodbyes and the owner should mark the boat handed over to the renter.
It's the owners responsibility to make sure that the boat is seaworthy and upon departure the responsibility of the boat passes to the renter. The renter is in charge of the boat in the eyes of the law as it's skipper and is responsible for the safety of the boat and the crew. For this reason too, it's important for both parties to go through the boat carefully before starting the rental and marking the boat as handed over.
When the rental period ends, it's a good idea to go through the boat carefully and check that everything is in order. If not, the owner can marked the boat as not ok during the return process on the website. The renter will get a notification of this, and the owner will get additional instructions on how to proceed.
Once the boat has been marked as returned we will pay send the rental earning within a few banking days.
